These photos were taken for editorial but I decided to put a little pizaazz to them and post.  This was a very fun shoot.  It was actually quite easy to time the subjects in breaking boards.  I got break shots of elbows, side kicks, ax kicks and palm heel punches.  Fun time, Thanks Mr. Byrd (Sir).

Beautiful Subject

My wife Judy Sanqunetti allowed me to photograph her.  It was an extremely fun session because after almost 8 years of being together, I know by heart what angles I wanted and with what lighting.  Even being my wife, she did take my direction very well… another reason why I liked it… I actually had a little control!!  Just kidding.  Thanks for looking.

I captured the lighting that warmed her smooth skin with my constant soft light.

This one shows her true color of  skin, eyes and hair.

I see this look from her quite often so I got her to do it for the camera.  OK, I don’t see this quite often, but I do love her expressions.

Peoples Choice winner

I was just given one of 18 awards for one of my Photographs.  Indianapolis Star Held a contest for photos submitted to compile a book called “Capture Indy“.  There were MANY photographers, and I believe, over 8000 Photos submitted.   It was an honor to be one of the Peoples Choice winners and get another one of my photos published.  I want to thank Indy Star, Pediment Books and all the sponsors involved and including everyone who voted.

Session with two handsome boys!!

This was a fun session with these two handsome boys.  They are brothers with two very different personalities.  I couldn’t help but to capture both of their personalities and it was fairly easy.  The older seemed more composed and posed for the camera, the younger was more of a gigglebox and did whatever it was he felt like doing while following the footsteps of his older brother.

Towards the end, a little girl wanted to hang out with the boys.  As kids do, everyone was instant friends and sharing booboo stories.

Grunge Overlays for Photos

I am fortunate to have a wife who is a Graphic Designer. It’s nice to be able to work with her on adding that little something extra to my photographs.   Here are some overlay examples that she created from her GRUNGE EDGES OVERLAYS that can be purchased at MYGRAFICO 

Overlays are really easy to use and can give you numerous effects by just playing around with your blending modes in photoshop. Simply open your photo, and place the overlay on the top layer. This is where the fun begins, use different modes in your layers such as multiply & overlay, you then can play around with the transparency on the overlay to get the effect you want.

 

Overlays are also good way to accentuate your digital photo album pages!
